How can you help?

Adoptions

Adopting a pet not only provides a loving home to an animal in need but also helps reduce the number of homeless animals in shelters. It’s a rewarding process that can make a significant difference in both the pet's and the adopter's lives.  How it works:

1. Application          2. Meet & Greet       3. Home Visit

4. Fee          5. Finalisation

Once all requirements are met and both the adopter and the animal are ready, the adoption is finalised.

The new owner receives the pet’s medical records and any other relevant information.

Donations

Your donation / contribution make a difference in various aspects such as: Funding Rescue Operations, Providing Medical Care, Supporting Advocacy and Education, Enhancing Shelter Facilities and Enforcing laws.

Did you know?  Your donation will not only provide direct support to animals in our local area but will also benefit animals in other districts and less fortunate regions, through a sharing agreement amongst SPCAs nationwide.

We believe you will appreciate this broader outreach initiative and sincerely thank you for your support of our SPCA and the overall movement.

Fundraising

You can help us raise funds from activities or events that you personally participate in such as charity walks or runs, marathons etc. After setting up your fundraiser, you can effortlessly share your fundraising page with friends, family, and colleagues via WhatsApp, email, or social media to start collecting donations for bettering the lives of our animals.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The SPCA logo may NOT be used without explicit permission. Unauthorised use, including for fundraising purposes, is strictly prohibited and may result in legal consequence.

Bequests

A legacy or bequest is a gift left in a will or estate plan to support our organisation even after one's passing.

It ensures that your commitment to animal welfare continues even beyond your lifetime.

PERSONAL FULFILMENT

Leaving a bequest allows you to make a lasting impact and leave a legacy aligned with your values and passion for animals.

TAX BENEFIT

Bequests can offer tax benefits to your estate, potentially reducing estate taxes.

Your legacy ensures continued funding for programs that prevent animal cruelty and support animal welfare.

Our services and solutions

Boarding & Pound

Boarding

We provide facilities that provide temporary shelter and care for animals.

We provide a safe place for pets to stay while owners are away.

Our boarding facilities offer care, feeding, exercise, and sometimes grooming services, ensuring that pets are well looked after in the owner's absence.

Pound

We take in stray, abandoned, or surrendered animals.   Our primary goal is to provide temporary housing, care, and rehabilitation for these animals.

We work towards reuniting lost pets with their owners or finding new homes through adoption programs.

We play a crucial role in controlling the stray animal population and enforcing animal control laws.

Vaccinations

Protecting Your Pet’s Health

Vaccinations are essential medical treatments that help protect animals from various infectious diseases.

Vaccines work by stimulating the pet's immune system to recognise and fight off specific pathogens, such as viruses or bacteria. Common vaccines for pets include those for rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and feline leukemia, among others.

Vaccinations are crucial not only for the health of individual pets but also for the broader community, as they help prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Regular vaccination schedules are typically recommended by veterinarians, starting from when pets are young and continuing throughout their lives to maintain immunity.

Microchipping

A Lifesaving ID for Your Pet

Microchipping is a safe and permanent method of identifying pets, helping to reunite them with their owners if they become lost.

A microchip is a tiny device, about the size of a grain of rice, that is implanted under the pet's skin, typically between the shoulder blades.

The procedure is quick, similar to a vaccination, and causes minimal discomfort to the animal.

Microchipping is highly recommended for all pets, as it greatly increases the chances of recovering a lost or stolen animal. It’s a reliable and long-lasting form of identification, unlike collars or tags, which can be lost or removed.
